RNDC Florida Update: Hurricane Dorian

All RNDC Florida Associates

Hurricane Dorian has passed Florida and all RNDC locations are open for Business. We have not heard any RNDC associates in need of help as Hurricane Dorian impacted the East Coast of Florida. If you have any issues please contact HR or Operations management today. We pray for our Bahamian neighbors to the East who got pounded with one of the strongest Hurricanes storms ever. We have a collection of supplies in the Deerfield Beach branch to help our Bahamian neighbors.

Each location will do their best to service our customers in a short Labor Day holiday. They will all put out their delivery plan for Friday. Today and Friday will be very heavy and we hope to have a few emergency left over deliveries for Saturday. We are also planning for a strong Monday delivery in Tampa, Deerfield and Jacksonville. Pensacola will not be delivering Saturday or Monday. Tampa, Deerfield, and Jacksonville are going to decide by noon today if we are loading Friday for Saturday delivery, or Sunday for Monday delivery.

Each market Operations team will send communications regarding what customers will be delivered and when. Please help your Drivers in the market as they will have many stops and cases to deliver over the next few days.

Many of you live in areas that are miles away from the office and should stay informed with local radio and TV stations regarding evacuation zones for your home location. If city, county or state officials mandate evacuation, do so immediately; do not wait. Early evacuation should make it simpler for you and your family to get to safety. Now is the time for you and your family to prepare for evacuation. Write your plan now, communicate your plan to your family, and assign duties and responsibilities to family members. As a hurricane approaches, review your plan and act accordingly.

Contact Information
Please contact your manager or supervisor with information on the conditions, return to work information, and any other pertinent information.

Return to Home & Work
As soon as officials announce that citizens may return to the evacuated area, we hope you immediately begin the process of returning home. Each situation has its own issues, but the request is made that employees return to work within twenty-four hours after officials have declared the area safe. If you cannot return that quickly, contact your manager to discuss the issues. Communication is very important in our safe recovery efforts.

Your safety is important to NDC/RNDC! Please contact me, your local branch Operations Distribution Manager or HR Director if you have any question. Please make sure you have updated your emergency contact information at www.visitmyconnection.com.

To all RNDC South Carolina associates

RNDC South Carolina will continue to monitor Hurricane Dorian as it makes its way towards the Southeast United States. RNDC South Carolina will be open for business as scheduled this weekend. As of the 11:00 AM NOAA advisory, we are still uncertain of the path, timing and severity of the storm.

All associates should continue to communicate with your local operations about specific schedules and hours of operations. Further communication will be sent out via e-mail, text messaging (be sure to update your information on MyConnection if you want text messages) and this website.
