Chief Digital and Information Officer
Emily Xu is currently the Chief Digital and Information Officer at RNDC, a position she assumed in 2025 after serving as the Senior Vice President of eCommerce at RNDC. She joined RNDC in 2022, focusing on spearheading the company’s eCommerce and digital growth initiatives.
Before joining RNDC, Emily served as the Chief Marketing Officer at Mitchell Gold Bob Williams (MGBW), a luxury home furnishing retailer and manufacturer. During her time there, she was instrumental in shaping the brand’s strategy, creative direction, and digital acceleration, both during and post-pandemic, significantly influencing the brand’s evolution.
Earlier in her career, Emily accrued diverse functional experience at various retailers, including Crate & Barrel Holdings and Sears Corporation. Her responsibilities in these roles encompassed corporate strategy, customer experience operations, eCommerce, marketing, and analytics. Additionally, her professional journey began in the technology sector, with roles at AT&T Bell Labs and Alcatel-Lucent, where she engaged in diverse activities including R&D, product commercialization, and service operations.
In the academic and professional community, Emily is an active member of the AI Business Consortium’s Steering Committee at Loyola University and serves on the advisory board of the Northwestern University Retail Analytics Council. She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Illinois, and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Tsinghua University.
