DALLAS, TX – September 23, 2013–Republic National Distributing Company USA (RNDC), the nation’s second largest premium wine and spirits distributor, is pleased to announce two important promotions in its Texas market.
Taylor Sommer, previously vice president of Spirits for South Texas, has been promoted to the role of executive vice president of RNDC South Texas. In his role, Sommer will have responsibility for the overall development and performance of the RNDC business in the South Texas market. Since joining the Company in 2000, Taylor has been responsible for the training and development of his sales team as well as building and maintaining customer and supplier relationships. His energy, high level of execution for key priorities, and passion for the industry are foundations for the success he will have in his new role.
Mike Young, previously vice president of Marketing, has been promoted to executive vice president of Sales for RNDC Texas. In his role, Mike will have responsibility for the overall development and performance of the spirits business in the state of Texas along with the development of new statewide team. Mike, who brings more than 25 years of spirits supplier experience to his position, played an instrumental role in leading supplier business in the eight states with great success.
