DALLAS, TX – December 20, 2016 – Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC), the nation’s second largest premium wine and spirits distributor, announced today the appointment of Nicholas Mehall as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) reporting to Tom Cole, RNDC President and Chief Executive Officer. In his role, he will have the leadership responsibility for the company’s financial planning and reporting, funding, and risk management, among other strategic projects and initiatives supporting the Company’s future growth as a distributor. Mehall will serve as an important executive member of RNDC’s Operating Committee.

Mehall joins RNDC after five years with Diageo North America, Inc., where he held a number of progressive leadership roles in the Controllership and Commercial Finance functions. Most recently, he served as SVP of Finance for Diageo’s U.S. Spirits and Diageo Canada business. In his role Mehall had ownership of the full financial delivery, allocation of resources across price, trade investment, and brand marketing for over 100+ brands to maximize return on investment. He also served as a member of Diageo North America’s IT Steering Committee charged with shaping the IT systems roadmap and annual investment.

Prior to that, Mehall spent 10 years with KPMG, LLP in Cleveland, London and New York areas. There, he held a number of key leadership roles in the audit practice in both the U.S. and U.K. firms. During his tenure he led financial statement audits and advisory projects with more than 25 companies in the retail and consumer packaged goods industries, among others.

Mehall earned his undergraduate degree in Accountancy and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio. He will start with RNDC effective February 1, 2017 and will be based out of RNDC’s Atlanta office.
