Feb. 16, 2024 — Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) announced the promotion of a new leader, signifying increased focus and support to suppliers and customers in the West Region.
“I’m thrilled to announce the appointment of Shawn Higgins to the role of California State Executive Vice President, and welcome him to RNDC,” said Taylor Sommer, RNDC Chief Sales and Execution Officer. “As part of our move to position our sales leadership closer to customers and reduce the size of our regions, we continue to ensure we have dedicated senior leaders that strive for executional excellence with proven results that prioritize our suppliers’ brands and our customers’ business.”
Shawn Higgins will report directly to Bryan Boeck to further support the West region, which includes Arizona, California and Hawaii. Higgins will be responsible for the overall performance of both the wine and spirits business for the state of California.
Most recently, Higgins was the Division VP at Pernod Ricard USA where he also previously held the position of VP of RTM & Commercial Operations. He was responsible for managing overall supplier portfolio business in states: California, Florida, Louisiana, New York, and Texas. An industry veteran, Higgins brings more than 30 years of extensive background, leadership skills and supplier and customer relationships in the beverage alcohol industry. With a career journey cultivated at E & J Gallo Winery, Anheuser Busch InBev and Pernod Ricard, he is undoubtedly prepared for success in this RNDC endeavor.

Higgins is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Business and holds management certificates from INSEAD (France) and the Wharton School of Business. He begins his new role effective March 18.
