DALLAS, TX – June 30, 2016 – Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC), the nation’s second largest premium wine and spirits distributor, is pleased to announce an expanded role for Jay Johnson, Region President of RNDC Texas, Colorado, Louisiana and Oklahoma. Due to his leadership and the overall success of the markets led by Johnson, his region will expand include Kentucky and Indiana, effective July 1.

“In addition to being a valuable member of our executive leadership team, Jay has successfully guided his markets to significant growth in the five years he has served as Region President,” said Bob Hendrickson, Chief Operating Officer, RNDC. “The expansion of Jay’s role is a result of the significant contributions he has made to RNDC, and the respect he has earned from his peers, customers and suppliers.”

Johnson joined RNDC in 1991 as the Executive Vice President of South Texas. He held a number of progressive career roles until being appointed to the position of Region President in 2011. Johnson has been in the wine and spirits industry for more than 25 years, and began his career in the supplier tier working with E & J Gallo.

Johnson is an active member of the Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA) and Vistage, and previously served on the board of trustees for the United Way, University of the Incarnate Word Development Board and the San Antonio Sports Foundation. He will continue to report directly to Bob Hendrickson, RNDC Chief Operating Officer, and remain based in RNDC’s Grand Prairie, Texas office.
