DALLAS, TX – October 10, 2017 – Republic National Distributing Company, the nation’s second largest wine and spirits distributor, announced it has achieved record support for its annual donation campaign benefitting the RNDC Relief Fund, which provides financial assistance to associates who have been impacted by natural disasters.

The 2017 campaign raised a total of $750,000. In true generosity of spirit, more than 1,350 RNDC associates made donations to the fund, where 100 percent of dollars raised go directly to associates in need. Additionally, RNDC Owners have committed to match all donations.

The RNDC Relief Fund supports RNDC associates whose property and lives are adversely affected by hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, earthquakes and other natural disasters. In the midst of this year’s campaign, severe weather brought by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Nate impacted multiple RNDC markets, including many RNDC associates. The annual campaign, which occurs each August, was extended two weeks to account for the severity of the disasters.

“We are so grateful for the generosity of our RNDC associates to assist their coworkers in times of need. This year dozens of wine and spirits suppliers and service providers also made extraordinarily generous donations, and for that we are thankful,” said RNDC President and CEO Tom Cole. “From blood drives to cleanup efforts to Relief Fund donations, their selfless actions embody RNDC’s core value of family. I am truly honored to have them on our team.”

The RNDC Relief Fund was created in 2005 following the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, which affected hundreds of RNDC associates in New Orleans. This year marked the third-annual donation campaign inviting RNDC associates to have their donations met by a company match for all funds donated.
